An Introduction to our Vice PrincipalTop of Page

Paul Robeson once said, “The Battlefield is everywhere, there is no sheltered rear.”

Welcome to Woodrow  Wilson, home of the Eagles, and welcome to the 2016-2017 school year!

My name is Erica Campbell and I am your new Assistant Principal. Though I am new to Woodrow Wilson, I am not new to the district. I was a member of the New Brunswick Public School community for 13 wonderful and growth-filled years. During this time, I served as a teacher, teacher leader and now I have returned as your assistant principal.

My first 6 weeks were excitingly jam-packed with community, student, and teacher professional growth opportunities which encouraged ongoing conversation with parents, students, community members, and staff. Our Back to School night was exciting and engaging. Our PTA meeting was packed with learning experiences led by our superintendent, Dr. Aubrey Johnson, district administrators, and teachers. Its goal was to ensure that we all were prepared, empowered, and inspired to be lifelong learners and leaders.

As we continue to prepare, empower, and inspire our students to meet the challenges of the 2016-2017 academic year, let’s continue to put our children first, build ongoing partnership with parents, and remember that victory is accomplished in our classrooms.

It is with this charge, laid out in the mission and vision, that I establish my goals for the 2016-2017 School Year.

  • Work collaboratively with staff, students, and parents to implement our SEL Strategic Plan for improving school climate and culture.

  • Support staff professional growth.

  • Improve student achievement outcomes.

Remember, our students’ destiny is GREATNESS! Our district’s mission provides the roadmap for all stakeholders to guide them to reach their fullest potential and achieve this greatness. This vision tells us that we must all prepare, empower, and inspire lifelong learners and leaders.  This is our charge and our challenge. I am up for it and I hope you are too. GO EAGLES!

Sincerely,

Erica Campbell
